Bar Restaurante Puerto Chico

We recommended Puerto Chico last year, having eaten there on numerous occasions over a few years when it was consistently excellent. Unfortunately it appears to have changed hands. We gave it a try but the standard of food was extremely poor paella consisted of a lot of rice with one large empty mussel shell perched on top and a pile of clams a lot of which would not open and some of which were empty. There were also a lot of shell chippings in the rice. Tapas were not forthcoming.

The food was Ok but it was clear that the guy was over pricing the meal. We should have asked the prices upfront as there was no menu available. Feeling cheated should you decide to eat there be alert. Naturally no official receipt was given.

Everything nice until ripped off with €25 each for half a fish each. Had to pay by card and he then changed it to after I entered pin so I have to pay even more plus extra commission and he refused to change it back. Avoid!!

Some of the freshest fish you will ever eat. We ordered a full ración , €15, and it was enormous. Next time we will order 1/2 ración for 2. The garlic potatoes served as an appetizer were awesome. A great family restaurant.

Awful food Awful service waiter were a t shirt with f**k written all over it When bill came they ripped us off with the sterling conversion when I asked to pay in euros
