Unbelievable service! Called when my Deliveroo order said it was on it’s way, but nothing arrived! I called to find out there was a glitch with technology and despite my order saying it had gone through, no order had been printed, only stored within the Deliveroo app, so the shop didn’t receive my order!!! The shop I have since found out closed at 8.45pm and I called at 8.45pm!!! Huge apologies and a promise they would cook it now and deliver. I didn’t know until it arrived that the grills and fryers were turned on again to cook just for us and our food was delivered deliciously hot!! I’m afraid to say that my local chip shop is underwhelming to say the least. We walked in got ignored by not one, or two, but three people. One continued to sweep, one continued to pack away one purposefully did not acknowledge us she clearly didn’t want to serve us. We finally were acknowledged about a minute later, with no politeness whatsoever. It is such a small part of the takeaway experience that actually sours the meal, as it leaves you annoyed that you gave custom to people who has absolute zero appreciation for it. Aside from that, the food was not anything special, small in portion not cheap either.

Fish crumbled when cut (old fish) and the batter was too crispy if you eat with a knife and fork it's impossible. Large fish wasn't that big. Expensive, like £8.50 for a large cod/haddock. Chips were not like real chippy chips. Close to school chips. If it was half the price i paid I'd give 3 stars. It wasn't awful, just wasn't good especially for the price, so i won't go back. I expect fish from the chippy to far exceed pub grub. But i wouldn't think any different if i had this in a pub not known for good food.

Slow, disorganised service. People are not sure if you should wait inside or outside. There is little communication from staff who do not seem interested. They then lost our ticket and we had to wait 20mins for a simple order. Food was nice and portions good which is the reason for the three star but probably won’t use them again. Barkers catered 60 amazing meals for our quiz night, delivering them to the venue. They offered a diverse menu that we pre-ordered, and all the meals were boxed, labeled, and delivered while still hot and tasty. Thank you so much - everyone raved about the food. We would definitely use their services again.

We ordered fish and chips for delivery and were expecting a bit of a wait. Food arrived promptly and hot. To look at, the food looked amazing chips were not soggy and the salt and vinegar was just right. The food did not disappoint it was delicious. They get it right every time!

Best I have had in a while. Phoned ahead and preordered for collection. Efficient and delicious and a very generous portion of mushy peas. We order once large haddock and the medium chips between 2 of us and it was plenty.

This is the worst food I have ever eaten. The fact that they only accept cash should have been a red flag. I will never be returning and I hope others will avoid this place as well. Réservez une table maintenant

I can't praise this fish and chip shop enough. The fish is always fresh and the portions of chips are generous. There is nowhere else in the local area that can compete. Excellent!
