Barley Forge Brewing Company

Barley Forge has officially closed its doors, and while they were the first major brewery in Costa Mesa, the more dedicated craft beer community in Orange County seems largely relieved by their departure. Although they may have had good intentions when launching the brewery, they gained a reputation for consistently serving beers of low quality or that were infected, as well as for mistreating their staff. However, I’ll give them an extra star for offering decent food and free popcorn.

I can't believe this place is closing after five awesome years. We come to this place a lot, and the staff, beer, and food have always been great. I think it's a shame their landlord is pushing them out. They bring a lot of foot traffic to the area, so I am not sure what I'm missing here. Farewell barley forge, I'll miss you guys a lot!!! Ps) the owner Maryanne will be missed too!

Good selection of beers and they also have food. The food was ok. Service is nice. Seats can be limited. We came on a Saturday around 8:30pm and it wasn't too crowded. They currently have $5 beer till 12/11 (possibly) because they might be closing down unless someone else takes over. It's a cool place to hang out with friends, very family friendly. I hope the place can stay open.

This was a fun good place to go. Firstly they don't only have beer (I don't like beer) so this made me happy. But they have choices which is nice. Then there menu for a brewery is quite extensive. We got pulled pork and lamb burger. The lamb burger was very tasty better than the pork. The regular burger, which a friend got, looked very good also. Réservez une table maintenant

This brewery was fantastic, with excellent staff. The beer was consistently great, and the food was too. It was our favorite spot in the area. We will miss it dearly.

Beer is good. Food mediocre. Service was s**t. I heard it's closing down. I see why. Good riddance.
