I would definitely return to this restaurant! I had previously only been for drinks, but decided to give the food a try. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals, the portions were generous, and the drinks were served promptly. It was my dad's birthday, so I asked the waitress if they could bring out a dessert with a candle that I had brought. They even wrote "happy birthday" on the plate, which was a lovely touch. Our server, who I believe was named Annabel based on the receipt, was extremely kind.
Visit 19/08/23 No food just drinks, been going here on and off since mid 2000s, fairly upper class based on placement, but I like to think I'm upper class sometimes, they do table service even though we sat next to the bar, I always find this awkward especially when leaving, around £14 for a pint and large white wine seems about average. I like the bar, not much changed but it seemed dark
Hubby's 60th, nephew's 30th and brother in law's 62nd birthdays within 4 days brought us here on a Saturday afternoon. Not busy at 1pm but heaving by 3! We sat on the terrace which was huge and on 2 levels with plenty if seating and welcome heaters. Servers were lovely and very patient as a couple of people kept changing their mind with food order
Spent a lovely sunny weekday afternoon here. Staff were really friendly and service was spot on. Food was very good and not too expensive considering the nice setting and atmosphere. Will definitely be back next time we're in Newcastle

I recently visited this restaurant for a drink. The staff was friendly and they had a good variety of menu options. The prices were comparable to other bars.
Lovely interior and food looked good but we were only in for drinks. Will be back to try the food at some point though
One of the best bars in Newcastle, great drinks selection roof terrace out back is lush just a fantastic bar.
Lovely waitress today, guided us through the bar snacks menu, very friendly and informative. Food good too
