For those who know the Konigsallee in Düsseldorf the area is very up market with all the designer brands vying for space. However the Ko-Galerie is a shopping centre accessed off the Konigsallee and inside, like many centres has a range of eateries. Having shopped...until we nearly dropped we decided to take a late lunch around and found Barolo's in the centre. The menu is very Italian a variety of Pasta dishes, Pizza's and meat dishes. We decided on a couple of Pasta Carbonara and a Pizza Italiane. They also have a small drinks menu and a glass of Merlot, a glass of house Chianti and large Weiss beer was ordered. This place looks quite neat and pleasant so we decided to have some pre-dinner drinks. As nobody attended to us after standing for a while (while a few staff were standing chatting with each other) we decided to sit at a table just outside the...restaurant. Eventually we ordered some Gluhwine which was quite tasty actually. When we asked for the bill, without being presented with a receipt, the waiter asked for Euros (two Gluhwines), I gave him a ten Euro bill and he never gave me any change back. What a terrible attitude, AVOID this place.
Went there after visiting the Christmas market on the Kö, so was hungry and a lot of restaurants were full. The place looked good. Apart from dining, you can also by pastries etc at the counter to take home. The food was good, with ample...portions. Our waiter was a bit curt, even for Germany, so we got a bit snappy with him. After that he apologized, and provided good service. They serve their own marzipan with the coffee. It was delicious, so we bought a selection of their different flavors to take home.
This time we were a bit disappointed. We saw other people that arrived after us getting their meals served. The kitchen forgot our order and the waiter only realized after quite some time. When we finally got it the two pizzi missed a bit of...flavor. Finally when we asked the bill the (other) waiter said no word. No thanks, good evening, just nothing. Why did I bother to pay a tip after all?

we were surprised that the pasta we got was so delicious; more tasty than expected. the pasta was a mile away from al dente, but the sauce was good. the location is perfect for people watching, but this is what the waiters do all...day to get attention, although male waiters in meters took min. at the end we were reminded that typps were not included! a lot of luck!
We had spent the previous day going around the Christmas markets snacking' and I desperately needed a black tea with milk (hard to come by in Germany) and some real food, something with nutrients!! haha! So we popped in for an omelette and it...was wonderful! Great service, so warm and terrific simple food.

located in a high quality shopping center, this place invites you to sit and lunch. the food was made fresh and very beautiful. It takes a little time, so don't go here if you're in a hurry.

perfect food and hospitality. we were there with my family, they also enjoyed a lot of Italian spaghetti and steak.
Maybe we got the wrong waitress but I did not see anyone else with a smile so the unhelpful service may be common.
