Sorry, guys, but this restaurant is something you can miss without regret. We went there a few days ago for dinner, because the impression in the pictures and the description of former guests left a good impression. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. The only couple present were tourists no good sign for a Spanish restaurant. The menu is short, which is ok, but comprised of a nondescript variety of foods that seemed partly regional, partly something else without clear origin. Our starters were a pastry filled with goat cheese and spinach, accompanied by tsatsiki, so this was an imitation of Greek food. It was burning hot and my company burnt her mouth considerably. For me, basalt has been a discovery. the atmosphere is quiet, intimate, cozy with a very soft jazz background music. very good wines and we have tried several things from the menu, and some dishes outside of it. We've gone several times and we love it. the price in relation to the quality of the dishes is totally accurate. for highlighting a plate of the letter, I certainly recommend the tataki of tuna. We will continue to visit it often.
We started with spinach dumplings and chicken sticks, ok but no real sensation. The meat to main course was ok but again, it felt that more work could have been done to the presentation. They had a really good wine though, suitable for the meal, Zarus. The waitor was nice and helpful but the total experience didnt give any future expectations. A good neighbourhood restaurant, still.
We love the renewd menu and the combination of flavours. Staff always very friendly. We´ve been there with family, but I see it rather a place to visit with friends, couples or even for business gatherings. Been there for lunch and dinner.
