Truly authentic Japanese food. Delicious. They offer very good options as “combos” so one can enjoy different approaches of Japanese food. I asked about the Omakase but they warned me that an Omakase would be extremely expensive. So I went with their options and ai...really loved the whole experience. They were fully booked so we sat at the bar which is great because one can watch the sushis and nigiris being made. Our waiter was very serious, rude and bitter, so that’s why I disn’t give them stars. They really really should work on their customer service.
We were trying go get a table without knowing that one needs a reservation. However, were met with an attitude of a waiter that treated us as if we were really unwelcome to the restaurant. I can understand that you need to reserve for a...restaurant, but don't chase us away by ignoring us when we have follow-up questions and were genuine in try to return on another night. If you want to be the best, it's not only about the customers inside. It's also about potential customers who actually step into your doors.
I go to this restaurant regularly from time to time if I want to eat sashimi. It's good quality for what you can expect from a Japanese restaurant in Europe. The fish is fresh, good quality and cut very professionally. The surroundings are nice and...comfortable although alas not as beautiful as in the former location. Service is very polite and efficient. If you look for agreeable Japanese food in Europe this is a good place.
Das Basho-An ist ein schönes Restaurant mit unglaublich freundlichem Service und hervorragender, japanischer Küche. Wir waren bisher zweimal da, sowohl das Probiermenü als auch das Sushi ist uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen und soweit wir es einschätzen können auch sehr authentisch. Die Zutaten sind frisch und alles wird mit Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Eine frühzeitige Reservierung am Wochenende ist allerdings notwendig.

I loved everything there my sushi plate, the great choices of sake and the matcha ice cream and plum wine for dessert. Reservation is recommended. All tables were taken as we were there.
Einfach nur Herrlich, außer die Heizung die hätte man ein oder die andere Stufe höher stellen können aber das ist jammern auf extrem hohen Niveau. Bedienung herrvoragend Essen exzellent
We came for an early dinner without booking and found seats on the bar. Overall good Japanese food and acceptable prices. Our wishes : a faster service and more menus in English.
This is one of the best restaurants in Germany. Very professional service and the foods are just fantastic. I come there nearly every month with my family and always satisfied.

we had very good tempura and excellent sushi with very fresh fish! on the pricier side but worth it for the excellent quality of the ingredients. very friendly&fast service!
