I brought a group here from the convention when we were in search of food. They were able to accommodate all of us with no advance notice, which was great. Like everywhere in this area, this place is overpriced. Service was awesome. I first ordered the steak, rare. It came out with roughly the consistency of boot leather. Almost impossible to cut with the steak knife, much less actually chew. It was, I think, the worst steak I had ever had in my life. I know it's a hotel restaurant, but for $30, I expect more. I have to give a big shout out to one of the bartenders. A lady named Jagoda. She was fabulous! I am very picky about what cocktails I will drink. Jagoda was so friendly and so great at what she does. She spent 30 seconds asking me what my likes and dislikes were and whipped me up a personalized cocktail. It 's the best drink I 've ever had. She graciously helped me write up the recipe to make it back at home and gave me very helpful suggestions. It 's now my go-to cocktail and I promised her I would take it home and call it The Chicago-Jagoda . I have and it 's a big hit with my friends and family! I absolutely love this place! I attend a conference here every year, and Carlos, Fernando, Juan, and Oscar at the bar always provide exceptional service. The Basil Burger is simply delicious! While some items on the menu could use a bit of improvement, it is bar food after all, and the prices reflect that. Plus, who can complain about the free happy hour every day? There's no need to leave the hotel—the Basil team takes care of all your food and drink needs.
Served daily until 11:00 PM, Basil's Kitchen was a delightful change from our usual ordering routine. The food was excellent, and the prices were just as we anticipated. Oscar provided attentive service, making our visit even more enjoyable. After a long day of travel, it was refreshing to unwind at Basil's for drinks and a late dinner. Serves food daily till 11pm. Typically we order out, but thought to try Basil's Kitchen this time. Great food, price was as expected. Oscar was attentive and spot on service. After a rough day of flights, it was nice to be able to go down to Basil's for drinks and late dinner. Thank you for a great experience. Will return.
These wings are advertised as hot honey garlic on the menu, but they actually just taste like wings coated in sweet chili sauce. They were decent, but not what I expected based on the menu description.
