Bastards Canteen

Sometimes it's kind of hard for me to rate a place of 5 stars, but this place exceeded expectations. The pulled pig bbq sandwich was phenomenal and so delicate. Don't let me go on the smoked Bbq wings! The wings themselves were so full of smoked taste, the house bbq sauce was just the cherry up. Location is quite comfortable, nothing too big, but it packs a posture. Would definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu, maybe even sit in the bar!

We were there at an off-hour so the place was quiet. The waitress was wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable and all of her suggestions were tremendous. I thoroughly enjoyed my rib tips and their fries (ask for extra crispy) and their wings were good as well. And I had their signature beer on tap which was lovely but I can't remember the name. If I'm ever in the area again I will go and enjoy their fare.

Reliable drinks. Can sit in different sections of the bar. No staff has to deal with drunk and sometimes violent people. The toilets are dirty because the drunk people are untrunken. The employees who served us still had a good attitude and did not make us uncomfortable.

Delicious food! Burgers, chicken and tacos were all very good. Drinks were also great! Great prices! Great service! If I were closer, that would definitely be a place I would visit very often! Love it's veteran too!

I've been there a few times since I worked in Downey, everyone was cool it will definitely go on there if I can, no big menu with food, but many drinks
