We visited as a group of 4 adults and 2 kids for lunch on a Friday. When we walked in, we were immediately told we couldn't take the table in front of us, not because it was reserved, but because "someone else might want it!". We persisted and told he teenage waiter he might want to rethink this. Pizza was actually quite decent, but we had to ask for cutlery for other dishes, ask for the table to be cleared, and ask where our coffees were twenty minutes after ordering them. Coffee was so bad I couldn't drink it. Do yourself a favour and try one of the various Italian eateries on the Parade, don't eat here.
Visited the Bath Hotel today for Sunday lunch with friends. My partner and I ordered the whiting which at $32.00 per serve was very disappointing. The meal consisted of two very small fillets if fish, cooked in soggy batter with only slightly more that a handful of lukewarm chips. The small bowl of coleslaw salad was ok but quite insufficient. All in all came away feeling that I had been massively overcharged for a very mediocre meal and still quite hungry. Would definitely not return nor recommend to anyone.
Went to the Bath following a 2 hour negotiation. A great vibe with a good selection of wines/spirits at the bar. We had dinner from a fairly standard menu, offering a bit better than standard " pub" fare at reasonable prices. Meal service a little slow and the pub was quite noisy, making any meaningful conversation a bit challenging. Perhaps it was too noisy as it was a Thursday evening.Overall, ok. Should try it again on a different night.
Went there on Friday night for a drink and the service was terrible. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes with the bar staff ignoring looking at us before running off to the other side to serve. Thought it might just have been us but another guy at the bar who was also waiting said that "you can't complain about the service tonight as there is none".
