Batson River Brewing Distilling

LOVED our visit to Batson River – older Millennials caution, as with the middle of the 90s you can play early Noughties Playlist (Denke Matchbox 20 and Train , local craftsmen with the most beautiful unique pairings (Lavendel in a Whisky Sauer?! and extraordinary food. We were extremely impressed by the service, the taste explosions in food (e.g. candied lemon peel with beard on wood-fired asparagus and the kindness and attention of the staff. We are appalled that we were unable to have several meals here and will come back absolutely. A cozy little brewery/distillery. The menu can be minimal, but the taste is certainly not. The drinks are mixed well by valuable bartenders. But the food was the show-stopper. Order the maize bread duck. Just do it. We ordered a variety of apps, and each one was delicious. We visited low season, but they still delivered great service and quality. Outside are 5-6 small private ice huts where you can sit with a group of 4-6 people for an additional hourly rate. I will definitely visit again in summer.

I came to the Wells, Maine location. Heather greeted me and sat at the bar with a drink and food menu. Peter was my bartender and waiter. He beat the strawberry Basil Cosmo with the house Vodka. It was perfect. I was from New Orleans it had the right amount of vodka

I was in the Portland location and now this one, and this one was a little disappointing. The chicken in the Caeser salad was, like the God of fire, about twenty minutes too long. The poutine was good, but I remember it's better in Portland. Beer was still good.

Great lunch here while staying nearby on vacation. Although it was busy, we were seated promptly and food came out very quick. Everything was delicious!
