Always been a good pub with great handpull beers for me and a warm welcome for my dog Isthatgeorgefrommarton. Only had a Sunday lunch from the menu, but very nice. Great range of entertainment and Halloween just gone was epic, customers dressed up, Elvis n karaoke, it's what weekend's are for. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant on Friday. He ordered the fish and chips while I ordered the cheeseburger. Unfortunately, our meals were not satisfying. My boyfriend's fish was cold and the chips were dry and unappetizing. My cheeseburger seemed like it came from a frozen package, with plastic-like cheese and a stale bun. The salads also did not look appealing. The price of nearly £20 per meal was not worth it. We left feeling unwell and won't be returning. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. This restaurant is best for when you're intoxicated. The food is bland and unexciting, but it's decent overall. The chili was lacking in flavor and filled mostly with ground meat, lacking beans and other ingredients. The food here isn't amazing, but it's typical pub fare. The service was acceptable, and the food arrived promptly. However, there were a few flies around and the overall cleanliness of the place was lacking.
The restaurant had excellent Black Sheep beer, delicious food, and a very welcoming hostess from the North East. The locals were also interesting. The pub had a traditional decor. Overall, it was a great experience. The price per person was between £20-£30. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5.

Enjoyed a lovely spaghetti carbonara ordered 2 out of the 6 meals and was lovely, very creamy with chestnut mushrooms and diced gammon. Both meals went down a treat, other family members enjoyed steak and ale pies and mince and dumplings which arrived with fresh carrots mash and a Yorkshire pudding

Have just visited on 3.2.24 we had the steak pie and scampi both came with chips ! The portion sizes are massive for the price and the pie was huge and stuffed with meat. We have hand pull pint wich was lovely ! We will defo be returning on our next trip.
The food at this restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. The steak and ale pie is packed with plenty of meat. The average cost per person is between £10 and £20.

We had a fantastic evening with friends at the restaurant, enjoying the Elvis tribute and singing karaoke. The staff were friendly and attentive, making it a great night overall.
