Hit or Miss. I stopped eating here when Docs and McCanns opened in Newcastle having had several bad meals from Bayside. I tried it again end of last year and was pleasantly surprised how nice it had become again, however i've now had two really bad fish suppers in a row. The first was served on a Sunday evening by a young lad who took the food straight out of the fryer and into the wrappers without letting the food breath, as a result it was soggy by the time i got it home. The 2nd most recent was last weekend at lunch time, the owner served me two fish suppers. All looked good this time until I tasted the fish and cut it open further. It was rotten and black in the middle and tasted awful....
I must say, the chips from this place are simply delicious! Every bite is filled with an explosion of flavor that's hard to resist. From the crispy texture to the perfectly add salt and vinegar, these chips are definitely a must-try... Overall, I highly recommend their chips to anyone who likes a GOOD BAG OF CHIPS.
The food is absolutely delicious. It may take a little longer to be served, but it is definitely worth the wait. However, I recently noticed a decline in the quality of the food and service at this restaurant. The prices have become unreasonable and the service is very poor.
Unfortunately, I was unable to try this restaurant as they only accept cash. It's surprising that some places still operate this way in this day and age.

I called in on Friday evening and ordered Fish Chips £10.50 and it was delicious chips were great!! Young staff were very polite and efficient
I mean it's good I do like the food I get it very rarely and the service is good too I do enjoy it but sometimes the chips are a bit hard
I always get a good fish and chip here. Chips are always good flavour has been my experience. And reasonable prices for the amount.
Lovely food family run come and try for yourselves nothing like nice fish and chips beside the sea
