I was fortunate to discover this little restaurant while browsing a thrift store next door, and I'm so glad I did! Their waffles and bacon were incredible, and I also had an over-easy egg that made for the best breakfast I've had in years. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which added to the wonderful experience. My daughter ordered their macaroni and cheese and yams, which is a big deal because she's quite particular about her food, and she absolutely loved it. We will definitely be returning frequently. The prices are very reasonable too. It's truly a hidden gem in Covina!
Delicious! Our family of ten, visiting from out of state, chose BB's Cafe for breakfast, and we all left completely stuffed and ready for a nap. From the youngest at 3 years old to grandma, everyone enjoyed their meal without any complaints. Michelle was incredibly nice and welcoming, making us feel just like family. Although the seating is limited, that’s what takeout is for, right? The waffles, catfish, and breakfast burritos were all fantastic, and the sides were delicious as well! Thank you, Mama and Michelle, for starting our day with big smiles and full bellies. I loved every moment!
I ordered the fish, but it tasted processed and stale, so I couldn't finish it. While I was there, two older ladies who had just received their meals asked the server for their drinks, and she responded rather rudely, telling them to get them from the refrigerator themselves. I got my meal and, since I was already standing, I offered to bring the ladies their drinks. It's important to have kindness and good food in a restaurant, and unfortunately, I found neither during my visit. I'm sorry to say that my experience was disappointing. Service: Takeout.

The food was excellent! The chicken was served hot, freshly made to order, and had a wonderfully crispy texture. The greens and mac and cheese were also bursting with flavor. The prices are very reasonable too. I also want to highlight the two young women who own the restaurant; they are incredibly sweet. I really appreciate how they take the time to package your food thoughtfully, even adding air vents to the boxes to keep everything crispy.
I had an excellent breakfast! The customer service was fantastic! Being new to the area and coming from the central valley, we didn’t know what to expect. The service was quick, and the regulars helped us out by pointing out the popular dishes. I ordered the breakfast burrito with hot links, and it was delicious! Next time, I’d like to try the chicken and waffles. My boys really enjoyed the bacon waffles too.
I ordered chicken wings and collard greens to go. However, the chicken was actually drumettes instead of wings, and the meat was undercooked. The collard greens were just mediocre. When I asked for some vinegar to add to the greens, the staff told me they had never heard of anyone putting vinegar on them. Most Southern and soul food restaurants typically provide vinegar for that purpose.
I absolutely love the wings; they are cooked to perfection! The addition of the waffles makes it even better. Overall, I had a great experience. I ordered takeout, and the service was excellent. The price per person was around $10–20. I give the food, service, and atmosphere all a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the Chicken Waffle Combo!

The waffles were incredibly filling and fluffy; I'm a big fan of butter and syrup. I decided to try the banana pudding, which was quite milky, but it was still okay. I'm not a fan of the wings, but they were decent.
