Found this hidden gem in Montrose recently for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was romantic, cozy, and very welcoming. We went on a weeknight so it was not too crowded, but still many tables were filled. There are 2 floors of seating and they did a great job of having everyone spread out so conversations did not overlap. The drink menu has a full page of just gin and tonics. We ordered the lavender and the BCN gin and tonics. The lavender was light, floral, and very easy to drink. The BCN was more forward on the gin, they do give you the remainder of the tonic water to modify as needed. After several visits to BCN, I am finally writing this review. I really enjoy the atmosphere both inside and outside when the weather is nice. They have a few tables on their patio which is nice. It is worth noting that the dress code is business casual when making a reservation, indicating that this is a more upscale dining experience. The gin and tonics are a must try and are amazing! My wife ordered the Manzanilla G&T for something a bit sweeter and it was fantastic. The food itself was good, but nothing extraordinary. BCN is our go to restaurant for special occasions. Tonight we went for my husbands Birthday. Once again our experience reminded us why we keep coming back. To us, it's not only the delicious food and drinks, but also the service and the experience. The food is always amazing. Delicious and prepared to perfection. I have been to the BCN twice now, both times for dinner and have already reserved for my 3rd time in November. I lived in Barcelona for 13 years and originally chose the location based on researching their website and noting the menu was also in Catalan. Bar and restaurant service is very well informed, polite and and patient . The first night, the Queen of Spain was having dinner there and still we were treated excentlly even with the extra pressure on all the staff.Food is very good with Catalan and traditional Spanish dishes. Our experience at this restaurant was not ideal due to the long wait time of at least 2 hours. However, the chef from Barcelona creates delicious dishes. The separate vegan menu is highly recommended. Some of the food options may not be appealing to vegans, but the salad with beet "ravioli" was exceptional. The white beans with tomatoes and mushrooms were creamy and flavorful, although they could use a little more seasoning. The ginger Gin Tonic was excellent and the restaurant excelled in their G T game.
The restaurant offers a separate vegan menu in addition to their regular menu. There are a variety of vegan starters, salads, soups, and mains to choose from. I decided to order exclusively from the vegan menu and started with the papas bravas and watermelon and greens salad. For my main course, I had the pea and fava fricassee, ratatouille, and basil rice, and finished off with a fruit dessert. The atmosphere was beautiful and the staff were very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

Service was great. Pedro was the best part of out experience at BCN. The off menu 36 month jamon and tomato bread was one of the best plate of the night, the cochinillo and the fideua were lacking something. Off menu calamari was good. The papatas bravas are amazing order 3 orders at least. Flan was average.

One of the top restaurants in Houston, offering top-notch Spanish cuisine. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and can recommend the perfect wine to pair with your meal. Be sure to try the suckling Iberico pig, it is amazing! But there are many other delicious dishes to choose from as well.
