Dropped in for brunch today (Easter Monday) after looking at menus table space on the strip. Although they were very busy, they gave us a “reserved” table as we would be done in plenty of time before the reserved party arrived. The offerings were very traditional, nothing fancy or twee, but executed well and presented attractively, and reasonably priced. My 2 poached eggs on grilled ciabatta was perfection with the yolks exactly right, not too runny and not too cooked. My companions each had a big breakfast, and they were also pleased with their selections. Coffee was good too. And the barista was an efficiency machine, pulling one coffee after another! An older lady the owner? kept an eagle...
After reading all the good reviews we decided to walk down the road n have our 27 anniversary dinner here. We were very dissapointed overall..... Our starters came out around 15 mins apart. Then we waited for what seemed like an eternity for our mains. My wifes steak was just as she ordered...rare to medium...well worth the $30. I ordered chicken breast....admitadly very nice but not worth $30 by a anyones standards. The wine is very expensive. No medium range bottles. Straight in at $32. We may return to try a lunch time pizza but not in a hurry. Sorry guys. Bit of a let down for our special night.
We had a great table inside at the front of the cafe. It was busy with a fun, holiday vibe. The server was friendly and efficient. Plates of food came out looking and smelling amazing with generous portions. The Meze platter was fantastic... always love having a little bit of everything to try. The lamb chops were packed with flavour and grilled to perfection, prawns on the skewer were succulant, coating on the squid nice and crunchy... everything was delicious! Thanks for a lovely venue for lunch with the girls
11/10. Went here with my family tonight, and it was an awesome dinner. Reception was fantastic and the foods were delish! It’s honestly so delightful when the servers are friendly and respectful. I would like to thank the server tonight who ran towards us bringing my dad’s beloved beanie. We were a store away when we realised we forgot it on our table. Whoever you are, thank you! The Beach Pit is consistently good- food, service, atmosphere. It is a place we visit regularly, for anything from a quick coffee to breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks with drinks. The menu has something to please most people, is reasonably priced and the specials menu offer great value.The vibe on Jetty Road is always relaxed and convivial, regardless of the season.
Not too crowded. Menu had the standard brekky selections. Mr Benedict was great a decent price. Coffee was amazing, service was impeccable. It has been a long time since I've been to Cafe Beach Pit, used to go there all the time years ago, glad to see the quality service hasn't changed. Keep up the good work all
