"Tried the Beacon Ale House for the first time. Good selection of craft beers on tap, with my wife enjoying their special priced sangria. Had lunch on the porch. Good service and menu. Will try again."

My boyfriend and I recently visited this cute little pub/restaurant. It was a rainy night but we were still able to enjoy our meal on the front porch. The service was prompt and friendly and shout out to Maria, our server for the night for attending to our every request quickly and professionally. My boyfriend had the fish and chips with side caesar salad. As an app he had chicken wings. I had the veggie burger with side caesar and as an app the roasted sweet potato soup topped with a dollop of sour cream. We found our meals very good. The fish has lots of batter on it, as is often the case. My burger because of what it was made of broke apart in the bun, but it wasn't a big deal. We both ag...

Came here for a quick bite on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised the place was empty since the last time we came it was packed. We ordered the beacon nachos with pulled pork and a Caesar salad. The salad was pretty good except way too much dressing. The pulled pork nachos were mediocre. The menu description said it was with layered cheese, salsa Fresca, olives and served with sour cream and guacamole. The nachos were lacking any salsa unless chopped onions counts as salsa Fresca and the guacamole that was served was brown. This dish appeared unappetizing not to mention the big piece of back fat that was served with the pulled pork. The service was poor considering there wasn't anyone but us...

Popped in to sit on the patio just for a drink so cannot comment on food. I had a glass of wine Touché from Cooper's Hawk and hubby had a Caesar which he enjoyed very much. I really like Touche and know it is on the more expensive side ($18.95 a bottle at the winery or LCBO) but I found it to be expensive at $9 for probably 6 oz.

We didn't stay to eat. Unlike other places in town, it seemed more like a drinking spot. A great front porch to sit on, but nothing to write home about inside. They took their jolly time to take our order so we left.
