I had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The jugged sweet tea was delicious, but the cheeseburger plate I ordered was bland and overcooked. The fries were underdone, but the macaroni pie was good. Unfortunately, the steak fingers I ordered had a piece of chicken in them and I even bit down on a bone, which was very painful. The steak fingers were overcooked and inedible, and the okra tasted old. I was disappointed to have spent over $20 on a meal that was not up to par. I absolutely loved the Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches at this restaurant! However, one day I had a different cook and the sandwich was awful. It was overly salty, lacked peppers and cheese, and the bread was burnt. I reached out to the owner, who is known as "Mama", but she was unsympathetic and refused to refund my money or make me a new sandwich. She even scolded me for asking! I had been a loyal customer, buying a couple of cheesesteaks every week for months, but after this experience, I chose to take my business elsewhere. Mama's cheap and disrespectful attitude really disappointed me. The service is takeout.
This restaurant serves the best fried flounder, juiciest hamburgers, and larger portions than any other place I've been. The diners here are always happy, and the owners, workers, and customers are great people. The service is excellent, and I recommend dining in for lunch. The price per person is typically between $10-20. Some dishes I recommend trying are the grilled vegetables, onion rings, baklava, double cheeseburger, fried chicken, hamburger, and cheeseburger.
I usually don't write negative reviews, but this restaurant was a disappointment. Most of the food we tried was mediocre at best. My daughter ordered ribs and they came out undercooked and cold. They were mostly fat and gristle. I returned them to the kitchen, only to see a male employee eating off a prep counter.
