My wife and I ate here at the recommendation of a train seat mate as well as our waiter at a pub the night before. Both said that this was their favorite restaurant in Cologne for schnitzel. What better recommendation could you ask for than two locals recommending the same restaurant in the span of a couple hours. We, of course, had to go. I am glad we did as this was not on our radar from Yelp or google simply because of the radius search from our hotel. as good as my grandmother. the second best carving I've ever had. (vienna had the best. Top quality calf with huge portions. the photo shows my meal for only 25.5 euro. the very good lemon drinks only 3 euro. also comes with a good green leaf salat with very good dressing. the kartoffeln and spetzel were nothing special, but who cares how I hardly finish the kalbs. very friendly service.
I loved it! we went in without reservation, so we had to wait for an hour, but it was worth it. I had the pork with mushroom and speck sauce. so good. we seemed like the only tourist so we were given English menu and the waiters also made sure we knew what was happening. service was very good.

First time to Germany and authentic German food. This was our first meal here and will be memorable. The veal schnitzel is amazing. And the mushrooms sauce is ridiculously good!
