Beim Rinderwirt

I must confess I am a regular at this place, but for a reason. The Rinderwirt in Sigmaringendorf (on the banks of the lovely Danube upstream of Ulm) is offering hearty and wholesome rural cuisine, based on the house's own locally-bred herd of Galloway cattle. The meals are first-rate quality, from the rather frugal Vesper (several sorts of German sausages, eaten cold on brown peasants' bread, with a side order of pickled gherkins) to the rich and sumptuos Rinderroulade (beef roll, a thin slice of prime beef wrapped around a stuffing of bacon, onion and pickled gherkin and simmered in a mid-heat for about an hour - you won't believe that beef can be as tender as this). The beer selection is limited but sufficient, wines are clearly more in the patron's vein. The restaurant is decorated in the style of a traditional barn, with disused cow-bells finding a new occupation as lampshades. Much unworked wood, which agrees well with my taste. Service is fast and very friendly, and the prices are reasonable. So, Beim Rinderwirt comes recommended without any reservations.

There's something bad. Wanted on 29. July nice food to go and were bitter disappointed, the service was very unfriendly and overwhelmed and the food was really an absolute cleanliness perhaps the intern in the oven Rumpsteak medium ordered it completely came through fried on the table so quickly said and no problem you get a new one. This came also only 6 minutes later completely fried English by tendons and cartilage. was definitely not a Rumpsteak. No excuses do not have to pay the full price. So the 25 days of birth no longer came???????????? P.'s maybe a second operation, so does it work with kindness?????

Marlies both checked us into the hotel (modern, small, nice breakfast) and was our waitress at the restaurant.She combined personal service and professionalism to a perfect degree. You know when you come home after a vacation and you have an anecdote about someone special you met...Marlies is our anecdote.The steak was great with wonderful side dishes and dessert. And so convenient to charge to our room.When you go, please say "hi" to Marlies for us.

This hotel is located in the village outside of Sigmaringen. The hotel has large rooms that are simpy furnished and well kept. The owners are a delightful young couple who run the hotel, restaurant and farm. The restaurant attached to the hotel is outstanding. They raise thier own cows, so the beef is frsh and excellent. Would highly recommnd the reatauranat and the hotel.

We're 2 couples biking Basel-Budapest on the EV6. This was the best dinner we've had so far. Good salads, soups, veggies, and they raise cattle and also offer wild venison. Very reasonably priced.
