Edit This is a HyGIENE ALERT! I would have like to be aware before being consuming takeaways from this restaurant for the past 8, 9 months. Honestly have to say mostly enjoyed the food from here but last time When arriving at the restaurant to collect my order to my deep disgust was one of the cook washing his feet into the dishes sink in the kitchen relaxed and with a smile in his face. I waited to be served after secs somebody came and not believing I asked “ is that gentleman washing his feet in the sink?” With no embarrassment or shame he smiled at me and did confirmed. Hmmm? Okay, it used to be an average-ish British Indian Restaurant, decor, dishes etc. It being, once, an average BIR I haven’t visited in years, despite being local. But it has changed… for the worst… far, far worse. The decor? It’s a cross between the best hospital waiting room one could imagine and the worst lit cafe in the world. Food? Mediocre. No spice, or flavour. Luke warm. No care what so ever… rice dry as it could ever be... as a ‘base’ example.. four popadoms ordered as a starter, well you do dontcha … top three no problem. The fourth… IMHO left over from a previous serving. Why? It’s only a popadom! Are things that tough? I won’t be returning, nor ordering a take away.
Visited Bejoy again today after my daughter's local contortion training session. The food was really good, as normal, and the guys running the restaurant are so nice. Definitely recommended if you are looking for Indian food. The Southern Garlic Chilli Chicken special is a particular favourite, although l had their Chicken Tikka Balti tonight which tasted lovely.
We are regulars here for a reason. The food is fantastic and consistently so. Amazing spicy madras and lovely coconut creamy Korma are our family favourites. For veggies the dry mixed vegetable is very tasty as is the paneer shashlik. The service is always friendly with a warm welcome. Réservez une table maintenant
If you want a night out with fine dinning excellent food Bejoy is the place to be, very warm welcoming staff and very modern indian restaurant. Their Mixed Grill South Indian Garlic Chicken is a MUST have will be coming back again again thank you would recommend to anyone.
