we visit the bell and bear two or three times in the month because of their great selection of beer, but last night we had something to eat there. I ordered the chicken and bacon salad from the special board. wonderful, excellant worth for money, very healthy and hearty and obviously prepared with thought and passion! the presentation was very kreatiw, especially the balsamico dimmer as a middle piece with the other ingredients carefully arranged to give a beautiful color sprayer. I thanked the staff, and apparently it was the idea of one of the younger employees. I think they said her name was close? please give us our thanks to them and we look forward to seeing hannahs chicken bacon salad...
it was my first visit to this pub, as my daughter lives in the opposite. we went to lunch on the 8-7-17 ordered a pork bag that my daughter had a chickenburger. both with side-alat chips. I must say that eating was excellent we will certainly eat here again. very good value for money. they are welcomed by very friendly staff. Yes, definitely one who goes back.
This gem was recommended by a friend and I’m glad I listened. Lovely, friendly staff attentive without being intrusive. Portions were very generous and the food was so good. Absolutely perfect chips crisp outside and fluffy inside. I had the gammon, my colleague had the salmon salad. Both were delicious.
Went there for the first time yesterday with family for my birthday and it won't be the last. Lovely pub with loads of real character, friendly staff and great food. Plenty of choice on the menu to suit all tastes and very good value freshly prepared food. Excellent!

small pub. for years not here. over 400 years old and still strong. right house cooked do not eat their chain pub microwave eating here. great selection of real ale. pretty busy at 1 o'clock on a Wednesday so early. friendly staff. great eating great service.

Tasty and pretty huge Sunday lunch with lovely staff. You get a good portion of everything on the plate and very importantly the Yorkshire pudding was excellent!
Epic mixed grill, great staff and very friendly. Different menus for indoor and outdoor. I'll definitely be going back !
