The Bell-Buoy has a lovely bright dining room that faces the harbour in Baddeck. It has a very large outside deck facing the main street also for dining. The food is delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. Each of the five of us agreed it was among the best meals we'd had while travelling Nova Scotia ... and excellent for the price. We can recommend the seafood fettuccini, the scallops in white wine sauce and even the fish and chips! The restaurant and washrooms are very clean and well cared for. Staff is cheerful, very helpful and attentive. Two drawbacks ... the first is the absence of fabric on windows or noise control. Sounds are magnified in their absence which is a problem when yo...

Friendley down to earth always busy and people keep coming back.I know people that drive over a hour to come here. The chowder is the only item on the menu that I have tried that's a little to much fish .I am more a seafood lover or should I say shellfish like lobster and scallops. The rest of the menu is fine and even the specials were very good.

I was on my last day on Cape Breton and never had any lobster yet. Ordered a lobster sandwich $20. It was tasty enough but my goodness $20 for a sandwich? I found everything in this tourist trap of Baddeck to be overpriced and underwhelming. Personally never be back.

We started our Cape Breton trip with the intent of trying chowders at all locations. The Fish Chowder was alright and I'd order it again. My Coquille St Jacques was amazing, and my husband' fried shrimp were fine. We will definitely return when visiting Baddeck. Réservez une table maintenant

We were pleasantly surprised everything was fresh ,the chowder was made fresh as the seafood as still soft and not over cooked. The lobster sandwich was made a a light fluffy oatmeal bread it was great as well ,nice view and great service.

Decided to spend both of our nights in Baddeck dining at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Good fish and great red wine from Nova Scotia - get over having to say a bottle of Great Big Frigging Red - and enjoy it!

Went for a romantic dinner. Had a table by the window - gorgeous waterfront view. Food was delicious. We both had the chicken alfredo and a caeser salad. Cheesecake for dessert. Lovely meal in a beautiful spot.

We went for lunch. The wait was a bit long but not the hostess or waitress told us it could be longer than usual. Found it was a bit overpriced for the portions we receive. Terrific location though. Réservez une table maintenant

We had the salmon...prepared two ways. Both were less than mediocre. Not really much to see out the pan-am windows.
