My family and I had a wonderful Christmas meal at this restaurant over the weekend. Even though the staff was unaware, we have been going through a difficult time lately. They managed to put big smiles on our faces, which was truly appreciated. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and entertained, and it was evident that this was the experience for other tables as well. It felt like a refreshing experience. The restaurant seems to be involved in community activities, with examples of kindness and thoughtfulness, such as offering period products in the restroom. Very disappointed today. Advice to staff : when a customer tells you their meal is cold you do something other than offer to reheat it . You don 't come back to collect the plates and start talking about how you wrapped your Xmas presents last night. I 'm not interested. Nor am I interested in wasting yet more money on a dessert. I would expect a refund, a fresh plate of food or a free alternative. I used to be a regular customer booking large tables. Never again. For the sake of some polite customer service you have lost business and it would have cost you next to nothing. I don 't appreciate being made out to be saying some untrue in front of my family.

Having previously worked at this establishment many years ago when it was The Chequered Flag, it was a pleasure to visit again. A lot of changes had taken place , but everything was lovely and clean and well set up. We both enjoyed our meals, which came well presented. The service is excellent, and we were made to feel very welcome, we will definitely return . Thankyou

Went for a late lunch today. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Greeted by Paul who explained how to order. He was very friendly and attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble. The meal was lovely. Well presented and piping hot.Very good value for money. We had the gammon meal and a chicken tikka. Both delicious. Will be back when we are in the area again. Booked for the festive menu and was not disappointed ! The food was lovely and served hot, plenty of turkey too. Staff were efficient and friendly. For 2 starters, 2 mains and one Christmas pudding the price was around £40 which we thought was a bargain as it was so good! Would recommend!

I had a great meal at this restaurant last Friday. The customer service and happy atmosphere were fantastic. The man who served us, although I don't know his name, was exceptional. He kept us laughing all night, which was a real treat.

We went out for a meal with our family. The table was pleasant and we did not feel rushed to order. The server even asked if anyone in our group had any allergies, which we appreciated.

Great family pub, lovely place, good food and brilliant staff, will definitely call in again when back in Garstang. The Christmas decorations are certainly a hit with the youngsters. Réservez une table maintenant

This pub is beautiful and the amazing staff are always a pleasure! Especially the young lady Chloe where nothing is every too much
