Dined at Bello tonight with my Dad on a father-son trip in Quebec City. Now let me preface this by saying that I 've had the privilege of dining at many impressive restaurants around the world, and I don 't give this entitlement lightly.Without reservations, we walked past this establishment and asked if there was space for us. The ambience was congruent with what I expected of a trendy upscale food establishment and the staff was extremely professional.I could go on about how the food and service was immaculate; or how little I care about describing the cuisine as incredible or shockingly tasty; it was both, however.What captured out attention was a particular staff member. Visited here for lunch, we didn’t have a reservation and got seated immediately. The service was good and bad. We ordered the fungi pizza and pasta and it kinda tasted different, but not bad. We also ordered the calamri to start and it was nice with good portions. And The tiramisu tasted like Heaven. The service on the other hand was questionable. Our server was nice and took care of us but when we were paying, i put an amount for the tip and she stopped me and said “you know the minimum tip for Quebec is 15% right?” I am a server as well and i know well that tip is not mandatory at all. She is getting payed for her job hourly and its the costumers choice to tip depending on the service they...
Really nice Italian restaurant. We shared the Caesar salad which is for 2 but would serve 4. It’s not made table side so I don’t know why it’s made only for 2 people. That said it was very good. The star was the pasta dishes which can be made as half dishes as well. The linguine with clams is a nice big half portion. I had the penne Arrabbiata without the shrimp. I would opt for the full version on this dish but it was yummy. Nice and well seasoned and in an almost cream base. Really nice job. Beautiful outdoor patio out back as well.
A bustling restaurant reservations recommended. Excellent service and food was great. I had a salad starter and the cuttlefish ink pasta di mare. Excellent fresh pasta, and beautifully cooked seafood sea scallop perfectly done along with jumbo shrimp, bay clams and scallops. Delicious. Excellent wine and a great dessert selection.

We had a late dinner here in early August 2023. We sat on the covered patio and the service was very good. The food is good, though not remarkable. I had the grilled squid to start and the linguine with clams. I enjoyed both dishes. My husband had the beef tartare, which its was a bit mustard-dominant. Good wine selection.
This restaurant offers an elevated ambiance with good attentive service. However I wasn't wowed by any of their dishes considering the price point. I'd recommend for the cocktails, I had a Tim Collins and a mimosa but not the food (for reference I got the tartar and carbonara pasta).
This place oozes the warmth and charm of old Quebec City.We found this fabulous Italian restaurant steps from the Chateau. The atmosphere is authentic and the food is spectacular. Our pasta was perfectly al dente and service was friendly and prompt.Terrific evening all around.
Excellent host and bartender. The squid ink pasta is probably the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. My friend had an espresso martini made with freshly brewed espresso absolutely delicious. Will 100% return.

They only had bar seats available. Service was very good at the bar. Had the spinach ravioli. It was wonderful. Atmosphere was very nice. I recommend.
