Five of us stayed at the hotel for three nights. At check-in we were not told that an amount per person per day would be blocked on the credit card. The surprise was big! The desire for the rooms to be next to each other or on the same floor was lost. The rooms themselves were nice and big and had a wonderful view of the Rhine. The drawback was that showering took some getting used to. Breakfast buffet was rich and large, but the reception was not as warm or inviting: Room number please instead of a nice Good morning, how did you sleep? Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff; you can taste in every dish the love that the chef and bartenders have for their jobs. Kind, friendly (by a southern American standard), and a refreshing focus on quality over quantity. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so comfortable in any hotel space. Also, I have to mention the spa. I have a lot of influence in my life from American Southern Baptists, and she was so kind and accommodating, somehow understanding the hesitation and anxiety I felt. Sincerely, I don’t often come across staff this lovely to work with. I’ve not even finished my stay yet; they’re worth the praise already. We like the hotel in and of itself, the location is perfect and the breakfast buffet is beyond any doubt. However, tonight we're sitting at the bar (Saturday evening) and it's not really crowded. The food was served only after a friendly reminder. The drinks are regularly forgotten and the friendly tip from the bartender. 2 Baileys last 15 minutes. It's not a cocktail that takes a long time to prepare and is a disgrace for a 4 star hotel. It is rather uncertain whether we will come back so quickly. Réservez une table maintenant

Unique hotel with a perfect symbiosis of history and modernity! Beautiful rooms with breathtaking views of the Rhine! Very attentive staff who fulfill your wishes before you know you have them our absolute favorite hotel.
