Found this place that just opened up on Prospect Road. Love the quality of the ingredients. I got the Julius and my partner got the Bigger Than Ben Hur. The grass fed beef tastes amazing and makes me very pleased to support (also great for your health). Tried the Karma Cola as well. Probably the best cola we've tried in a while. The chips were pretty standard. We got the salt on them. Didn't really notice it much, and I wasn't quite sure how we went about getting sauce Liked the ambience. You'll find this little neat shop slightly hidden on Prospect Road. My partner and I were craving burgers and thought we would give it a go We ordered the lamb souvla and Julius burger, strawberry shake and the Greek donuts in salted caramel sauce My first bite into the lamb souvla burger caught me a little off guard as I wasn't expecting flavoursome, tender meat that was compactly packed between crusty bread. The whole burger tasted just amazing. The Julius burger was a little standard on the other hand. Ok, I've been here a few times now, so I thought it was finally time to write a review. I have tried many things off of the menu, but the fish Burger is definitely my FAVOURITE. This is not your typical fish and chip store or standard burger bar!! The smoky charcoal flavours and the fresh, quality ingredients are always to die for. The choice of seasonings for the hot chips is something different, and all taste great. You can definitely tell there is some passion coming from the kitchen which is clearly represented through its food! I'm totally addicted to the home made chocolate mousse! You can't go wrong with anything you choose at Ben Hurs you won't be disappointed!!
My partner and I had fish and chips. Can't really stuff that up but this place managed to! It was easily the worst Fish and Chips we ever had. Mine was supposed to be battered but it looked like a soggy floury mess that had been put under the grill. Horrible! The chips tasted stale and looked like they came out of s McCains frozen chip bag. I've also had one of their burgers before and if was quite average. So ANNOYING! We will never be back as it's left a bad taste in our mouth literally. Réservez une table maintenant
Adelaide has one thing a lot of and that's burgers eateries this is just one other that does a really good job of making a burger. Style very different to most burger places in Adelaide with this one had that tinged of charcoal flavour kick. The place is by now means big it definitely would suit a bigger place with the large foot traffic. I had the Julius burger and it was amazing. Group of six took up the room of the place but they where very accommodating and customer service was A1.
my partner and I have come to ben hurs since the first opening, and it is still a popular destination for us. We love our burgers, and both agree that this place is simply the best Burger community in adelaide. we visit ben hurs at least once at 15 o'clock and have never been disappointed. fresh ingredients, tasteful products and quality service, what they could want more?
I came here with my partner and was presently surprised to find they do fish and chips. I tried the fresh fish of the day grilled and it was superb, the chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned with oregano and lemon I highly recommend) and my partner had the Flavia burger which he really enjoyed. The customer service was amazing, I'll be coming back soon!!
first ben hurs burger had ordered by ubereats. it was so impressed that we spent a few weeks later in their restaurant. again the food was delicious, really amazing! the personal was really beautiful and welcoming. they were sweet for our young children and made us all feel very home. also make the best coffee milk shakes.
