On our way to La Guardia airport and decide to get lunch. Looked up reviews and saw Benateri's Italian Gourmet Deli got high marks. Busy place with limited parking so I double parked and left my wife in the car. Basically just a long counter. Quite an extensive menu with all types of sandwiches and salads. I chose the The Godfather,Genoa salami, pepperoni, sopressata, cappicola, prosciutto, ham cappicola, fresh mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, roasted peppers, oil and vinegar. Available on a hoagie roll or just a roll. Great sandwich
Great deli with a nice variety of sandwiches and hot food. Been driving past this place for a while it always looks busy, so I finally dropped in. I tried the grilled chicken avocado on a roll. High quality bread and the grilled chicken was tasty not dried at all. It seems the rice pudding is a popular item since there was a stack of it on the side of the register, so I tried it and it was amazing! The staff and owner were very polite and the service was fast.
Excellent deli here with a spectacular selection of meats and cheeses to choose from. The wall is covered with some of their favorite combinations and you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for one of these beauties. My wife stole half of my Godfather sub and I could still barely finish the rest.
