Tonight we had a fantastic take away from Bengal Blue after winning this month's face book competition.Its been many years since we have eaten there so was a little sceptical,But how wrong we were to worry. Lovely service from the 2 gentleman behind the counter,and the food was some of the best we have tasted . Lots of meat in the Bengal Special Biryani and a great veg curry.My husband (who is incredibly fussy and will only eat vindaloo and Bombay potatoes where ever we go said it was again one of the best curries he'd eaten.Tender pieces of lamb and just the right amount of spice . Night in and ordered a chicken jalfeezi and a chicken Malaya with garlic Nan. We have ordered from there before but now aware it is now under new management. Both dishes were sooo hot and unbearable to eat! The jalfrezi was so full of onion and chilli and with that aside I was left with 4 piece of chicken. The sauce was too hot to eat and my plate was left 3/4. Safe today once my mouth stopped burning I had to have beans on toast. So much for a nice night in with my husband.
Visited with friends and had a very onjoyable evening meal. My choices were Lamb Chop starter and Chicken Blue Bengal (House Special, with chicken tikka pieces in a fenugreek and spice sauce) and a side of Asparagus Bhajee, which was new to me, as my main course, with a keema naan. Staff friendly and helpful, service was good and the meal was excellent. All of us enjoyed our meals and we look forward to our next visit.
My husband and I regularly order from here and are usually pleased with quality nothing amazing but does the job. Today however, the Chicken Malaya was awful the curry was smimming in water and the chicken was tough. It was as though I was chewing on leather. The prawn on puri was also tasteless. Overall a terrible experience tonight and the food quality left a lot to be desired.

The place is nice, the food was ok although I asked for chicken and prawn balti, they brought out just prawn when I asked they took away and brought back with most of the prawn’s missing and two small pieces of chicken so abit of a let down, the prawns where already cooked in the curry so don’t understand why you’d remove them it’s not like you can give them out again
After a show at the theatre, we were hoping this place was still open, having seen great reviews online! It was and we had the most amazing Chicken dishes! Both with very tender meat and great flavours. Lovely, welcoming people and great toilets, what an smazing place (wish we lived here!
Had a fantastic meal at Bengal Blue last night. Service was excellent, staff were really hospitable food was delicious, prices very reasonable and the restaurant was immaculate. We will be back!!
I order food for home delivery from uber eats and I got very small portion of mixed grill non veg. What do you think about it

Foreign body found in nan bread. Restaurant denied using plastic in the kitchen but really keen to retrieve said plastic!
