Had our staff Xmas do here for the 3rd time. We absolute love the place. Warm welcome and staff were great. We went downstairs to the bar for drinks before dinner. The bar was warm and welcoming with Xmas music on. We went upstairs to the restaurant where the staff Michelle and Marion greeted us and showed us to our table . The food was excellent from the starters to the dessert . We had already pre ordered our meals from prawncocktail to roast turkey. Even had extra Brussel sprouts my favourite.We had a choice of wine on the table . Couldn’t fault the night at all. I stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to try it out because they had an early bird menu sign outside that looked like a good deal. The interior was charming and we received a warm welcome. Our drink order was taken promptly and we ordered our food from a diverse menu. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna and my husband had the medium chicken curry, both dishes were served quickly and tasted excellent. We finished our meal with two large servings of what we think was the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever had. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be dining here again on our next visit.
Great sunday lunch.booked in advance just in case..and just happened to be right near where we staying!!..had a coach party in but was straight over to the table drinks served straight away and order taken quickly. Roast beef sunday dinner was served hot with veg and cheeky cheescake was shared with my other half...place was Clean and staff were great.2 Sunday dinners 1 dessert 2pints and a glass of red wine under 50quid and lake windermere in walking distance defo pop in and try and next time we are up i know where my Sunday lunch will be!.
Bought the the movie deal so went to the cinema then to restaurant for meal. I really wasn’t expecting the quality of the meal we had absolutely delicious the soup was best we’ve had and the garlic mushrooms with chorizo was so tasty!! We’ve been coming to Bowness for years and this is our first but definitely not our last visit to Beresfords! Food nearer the lake is overpriced and not great in our opinion . This was reasonably priced and really good! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

This was the best meal we enjoyed all week in The Lakes and was such a great deal. We opted for the early bird special, which offered fantastic value for the money. Every course I tried was deliciously cooked and beautifully presented. Our server was very friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was bustling (a clear indication of its popularity). I highly recommend this restaurant.
We visited Beresfords for a celebratory meal , they did not disappoint. We were welcomed and sat at our table promptly and offered a drink. There was a good choice of menu and everything was cooked fresh and to a high standard, the service was excellent Graham and his team were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again while we are here.
We have dined at the Beresford on several occasions while visiting the Lake District, and I cannot praise this place enough. The food is superb, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to Bowness.
The food was really nice. Lots of gluten free options. I had the curry and it was my favourite curry ever. The rice really complemented it. The food was also well priced.
