Berggasthof Herzberg

The walk from Saalburg Ruins to this restaurant is some 4 kilometres, you can drive of course but we all chose to walk. The walk up was on a slight incline all the way and views of Frankfurt to die for., once there, warm and friendly atmosphere with hand case mit musik wonderful and a large variety of beer, wine and schnapps. English and most nationalities frequent so they understood what we all had to say in varying languages. The food is good, well prices (not expensive at all) and the views are wonderful. Staff and warm and welcoming and the chef even comes out to check all is well also. When we were there the tables were all pretty much full but we didnt have to wait more than a minute., so well worth the visit. Memorable.

Sehr hohe Preise, konnte meiner Tochter nach der Wanderung leider nicht viel bieten. (Ich war schon vor vierzig Jahren als Kind immer mit meinen Eltern hier oben. Hab früher leckere Obstweine. Aber das Personal ist super freundlich, so war es doch ein schöner Ausflug und Besuch. Danke

on a walk between saalburg and sandplacken you should not miss the heart mountain for the magnificent view and the mountain inn for coffee and cake or a proper eating. the menu is not long, the meals are simple, but good and saturating. we.

the walk from the ruined saalburg to this restaurant is some kilometers, they can of course drive with the car, but we all decided to walk. the ascent was on a slight standing and the intention on frankfurt is a dream.

a very beautiful place in the middle of the forest, near a platform where you can see all the areal and fresh eating the service was overloaded and it took some time to eat, so that is not?
