We reserved a table on christmas day and were already surprised by the friendly greeting at the door as a well dressed man came and took our jackets. The view was sadly not seen but the fog and iced trees made it nice anyway. Inside there were nice decorations and service was outstanding. The food was extraordinary (especially the carpaccio and potatoes) and although we changed our order the service never forgot or got anything wrong. If you are looking for a remote quite place outside of Vienna then you might consider this location. It is an old hotel but very well maintained and managed. The rooms are big enough and the furniture will satisfy your needs.The restaurant is not very big in size but it provides exquisite cuisine. My parents are huge fans of this place and took us there for a birthday dinner. I would say that the setting in nature is spectacular and makes up for the slightly dated interior. The food tasted lovely but was not served hot on the particular night we were there. The service was a bit rough but my parents seemed very pleased. I would probably not come back as it's a very long drive, but the food, would it have been hot, would have been very nice. As described in our hotel review - this is no cheap option, but the food is good and elegantly served... they tend to know who has ordered what without having to ask.One of our group was not very fluent in German, and an English version of the menu was made available immediately. (Like many menu translations, they miss the fact that we often use French - and occasionally use German - menu terms in English.)The wine list is the only one I can recall coming in a large tome with an index at the front. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. A very warm welcome and the room was beautiful, as in the photos. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were all beautiful. Breakfast was delicious when vegetarian I was not too happy at dinner, as the vegetarian meal was served with Palmasan cheese, not really many vegetarian or vegan choices. I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to return soon as it is really a beautiful place.
We arrived for lunch after a nice road climbing the hills surrounding Vienna The view from the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. It was a busy day after Easter.We were greeted by the owners and we took place in a nice and elegant rooms in the restaurant. From aperitiv to coffee the menu was delicious. Lot of specialties home made really worth to be tasted. We highly recommend this place. Really worth a visit.
We visit this restaurant regularly if we want to celebrate something or impress our guests. In addition to the excellent view over the Wiener Wald, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is excellent. Take time to enjoy it and if you are interested in rarities, try a bottle of thousands of wine specialities.
We have waited exactly 1h30 (90 minutes) between the order and finally get what we ordered (yes, we say they have it at least 70% right). No explanation, no possibility to order at least drinks to pass the time. Fully unacceptable also for a cheap restaurant that is definitely not this. Réservez une table maintenant
Again visited one of our favored restaurants. Again excellent cuisine (had the artichoke delicacy, only seasonally available). Nice garden with excellent view toward the Alps in the South and the plains in the North. Have a look on their website, then you know what I meant...
