We will not be returning to this place due to the rudeness of the person seating us (we think he is the owner). Unfortunately the restaurant does not take reservations, which makes it extremely difficult to get a table for a larger party. The entire...party needs to be there, before they will seat you, which makes somewhat sense. Unfortunately, the person seating guests was not consistent in applying that rule, favouring some guests and not others. Although the food was good and the serving personnel friendly, we will not return to this place to avoid the rudeness by the owner! There are definitely better alternatives on the mountain or in the village, and they let you make reservations!
very good, plentiful and tasty eating. great location. very busy, worth a waiting time and if you have a table, the staff are helpful, efficient and very friendly. our third trip to saas fee, which should go from day 1 first trip, always lacks the twist....See to the year to get the idea into the restaurant, wish we had made more effort on our previous trips than we lacked a jewel. thanks to the whole team.
We visited this restaurant for lunch twice, and clearly felt it is the best ski lunch in Saas Fee. Higher up you have Spielboden but service is average and prices astronomical. GletcherGrotte, on the other hand, is the real deal. Great atmosphere and tasty food...at reasonable prices. Service is good and you have that genuine mountain ambience. We recommend the rosti with cheese.

You stopped there during a hike.Very nice terrasse.Very expensive prices (27-. for a burger with no drink no fries?!)My girlfriend took a roesti and liked it (she takes roesti regularly).I had a salad with chicken and vegetables: chicken was undercooked BUT was recooked with no complain and very quickly, and there was too much yellow
One of our favourite mountain restaurants in both summer and winter. In summer its a great place to stop on a walk and have a drink or even lunch the food is very good and tastes fresh. In winter it is a very atmospheric...hut with a sunny terrace on a nice day or a cosy interior with a fire if it's bleak. Always enjoy a visit here.
Ski here lots and this is tne BEST place to enjoy the BEST rosti in the whole of Saas Fee. We have tried them in most of the restaurants over the years. Summer or winter the standard is consistently good.
Small inside but a great terrace outside to enjoy the food, the views and hopefully the sunshine. Very good chicken pita salad and good cakes prepared daily.

That's what friends had told us and we totally agree! We skied right past it the first couple of days. So glad we made it! A must-try.
High quality food at a little mountain restaurant with good and efficient service. Swiss quality at it's best, highly recommended!
