Covid has brought Bertucci's to a new low. Absolutely horrible experience! Dirty table when we were sat and when we asked to get it wiped, the busboy spilled oil all over the seat. He tried to clean it with a dirty rag and just spread the oil around then blamed me to his manager). The super angry manager wouldn't let us change tables and expected me to sit in the oil which I did after I tried to clean it myself with napkins). We were missing table settings, they forgot to make half our meal a full pizza and salad), and never came back to the table for the rest of the meal. I've been a fan of Bertucci's for years since I'm originally from Massachusetts. Yes, I know it's a chain, but that has never really bothered me. We visited on a cold, rainy night during our last evening in the state, and it was exactly what we needed. If only you understood how terrible the pizza is in California, you would realize why Bertucci's in Massachusetts is such a treat for us. We started with the arancini di fontina and ordered a few pizzas for the adults, along with two kids' pizzas for our children. We had so much food that we couldn’t finish it and ended up taking some back to our hotel. The bread with olive oil was also a comforting touch after a long travel day from Vermont....
Personally, I love Bertucci's and have found their salads and pizza to be of consistently excellent quality. Although some days the service is quite slow, my most recent visit today was quick, easy, and the food was delicious. The waitress, Rosie, could not have been sweeter, and she made the whole experience even better than it usually is! I look forward to eating at this Bertucci's again soon. Pro-tip: Try the Burgundy salad dressing. It is absolutely delicious!
After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes for our meals, we decided to switch to takeout. It then took another 20 minutes. The food was subpar, the service was slow, and it felt like no one cared. I believe the person who appeared to be the manager didn’t address the frustrations or complaints from several customers. I understand that staffing can be a challenge these days, but this was an exceptionally poor experience.

Today was the wrong day to come over for lunch. Ok, it is a school half day Friday and there is one server in the whole place. Waited 10 minutes for water and rolls Two cooks and one person cleaning tables (not serving) Where is the Manager????? Nowhere to be seen. Extremely poor shift scheduling. Feel sorry for the server as he was doing his best to keep the place running.
During the peak of the pandemic I order from their location in Berlin, CT and the food was great. I ordered from them the other day and was very disappointed! I ordered lasagna and it was the worst I have ever tasted. It was just pasta with ricotta cheese and NO MEAT. The pan was half full. It also arrived cold. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Horrible experience. Ordered takeout. It was ready quickly and now I know why. Fake chicken, little to no sauce, broccoli or capers on our 2 dinners. All I can say is you need someone who knows how to cook appetizing food. Simply terrible food
The service at this restaurant is absolutely terrible.... didn't bring us rolls unless we asked, never asked..... never got salad dressing with my salad until I asked and it took 15 minutes to get and it wasnt even busy never coming again

It was great to have this restaurant in town while it lasted. We consistently enjoyed good takeout and had satisfactory dining-in experiences. Unfortunately, this location is now closed.
Ordered a cheese pizza, this is what I got. I can't believe someone would actually put this in a box and think that's okay.
