It's hard for me to know how to rate this experience because based on other reviews I believe this diner could have been a totally different experience on another day. We spent an hour and a half here for lunch, and only had food for the last 15 minutes of that time. They were extremely short staffed and only had one waitress with a lot of customers so I know she was doing her best and she did well at managing everything. I believe there was only one cook and one person to clear tables so I can't blame them for the slow service and I'm thankful we had lots of time to relax and enjoy the experience anyway. We gave this restaurant a try, but we weren't impressed enough to return. Our group had mixed feelings; while some of us enjoyed our meals, others were left dissatisfied. We went for lunch, but it seems this place has a better reputation for breakfast. The steak and cheese and chicken Philly sandwiches were both lacking in flavor. When we ordered the steak and cheese without peppers and onions, the waitress took it back and was seen removing the onions, but she returned it with the green peppers still on. Betty Boop's is a hoot! I think it was Betty herself who waited on us, and even cooked our breakfast this morning! This place has the vibe of a small town diner, while being tucked in the middle of Albany's South End urban neighborhood. Food is basic diner fare but house made with love. Ambiance is pure kitsch red black and white with Betty Boop memorabilia everywhere. Please support this place, it's the real deal!

Charming traditional diner serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner at reasonable prices with large portions. The attentive and friendly hostess/server delivers outstanding service. It's an ideal spot for comforting food. The location is both convenient and tranquil. Be sure to sample their delicious coffee!
Absolutely amazing food! And the price is better than right! The decor is absolutely adorable and the atmosphere is so friendly! The French toast was some of the best I?ve had in a long time! Exceeded my expectations by a mile and I?ll be backregularly!
A small and adorable diner near downtown Albany. The Betty Boop theme includes T shirts and other items for sale. The Eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. The Hollandaise was good. Prices are below average. A nice experience.
Betty is served with the usual morning restaurant service, which is quick and reasonably priced. The bacon, home fries, and eggs were all cooked to perfection. The staff there was extremely friendly and accommodating.

Awesome hole in the wall restaurant, perfect for early birds and night shifters looking for a quick meal. Service is fast, and affordable, a traditional breakfast diner experience but with a serving of Betty.
