We visited for a family luncheon and had booked the cabin which is situated in the adjoining garden area of the tea room. There were 10 of us and we all had a wonderful experience. It was very cold and wet outside but inside the cabin was very warm and cosy. When we arrived the log burner was lit and the cabin was very warm, a problem easily rectified by opening the door to allow it to cool a little. We were going to be tied to time so we pre booked both our tables and our food. Sharon had sent the menu a few days in advance as requested by me and we had all chosen our meals. A beautiful tea room and great friendly service. Though they managed to cater for me gluten and dairy free and not meat eater, the choice for me was ver limited. The menu was neat dominated. So I was very disappointed. Similarly for dessert, because of my intolerances in gluten AND dairy, it was only meringues and strawberry. There are huge choices now around with intolerances and I was disappointed to experience such a beautiful place was so limiting for me. We were a party of 5. The other person who was vegetarian found it limiting in choice but the two meat eaters were very satisfied. Service was friendly and efficient.
