Arrived at 5:30pm for an early dinner. Having visited this restaurant years before, I expected the same. I had a good experience in the past. The parking lot showed construction in progress with scaffolding over the sidewalk. The restaurant was open butvery quiet. The buffet selection was quite disappointing. The big surprise was that although we arrived early for dinner, theselection looked as if they have been there for hours. Saddest sushi selections. Got there a little after 4pm. The sushi selection was very limited and beyond dry. The spring rolls were nothing but mush. I tried a fried dumpling and I couldn't even bite through it. Egg rolls were also hard as a rock. Everything there had beensitting out since noon it looked like. After the first few bites I wanted to walk out but figured you get what you pay for( orso I thought) I figured it was 7-10 dollars each but no, it was $15 each! If you opt for the all-you-can-eat option, hibachi is advertised as included in the price. However, if you take it out, they charge extra for hibachi, and it's significantly more per pound. This is the only buffet where I've experienced this. I recommend opening your food container and inspecting it carefully, as they will soon start stirring it with a spoon to see what’s hidden under the salad leaves. The quality of the food at this establishment has declined, and the greed and lack of professionalism are off-putting. This place has went way down hill meanwhile prices have almost doubled. I'm not so much worried about pricing but the food quality was not good. Food was old and tasted funny. Best thing on the buffet was the watermelon and jello. Sadly this place will not be on our list to come back anymore. ? save your money and go else where. We are leaving hungry and spent $50 on three people and two drank water. Not including tip. ?
Very Clean, Organized kitchen, everything has a place. All the workers (well most) had masks on. I saw the cook in the back with a mask on. Great sushi options, FRESH tasting PINK GINGER. They care that you have a good eating experience. Food was delicious!!! If you have a hunger come to this place!
I enjoyed my entire experience at Big Apple Buffet. Compared to other Chinese buffets, the flavors here were more balanced and not overly seasoned. I’d love to eat here every week! The only issue is that I wish they would change the lighting color in the dining area.
