Big Jays Chicken And Shrimp

Wow! If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would! I recommend skipping this place and just ordering two Tripe Combos elsewhere. I got home (thinking I should have reviewed my food first) only to find the trip was so difficult to eat that I could literally crush it in my hand! When I asked for a refund, the cashier kept insisting that the cook said it’s supposed to be crispy because that’s what others requested. I never asked for it to be crispy—when tripe is cooked properly, it should have a nice texture on its own. The cashier then told the cook he needed to give me my money back out of his own pocket. He did hand me the refund but had the nerve to say “Thank you” instead of “I’m sorry.”...

I ordered a chicken, fish and shrimp combo. Depends on what you like, I thought the chicken and fish was the better choice. The shrimp was big, but the battered is more doughy. So 1 or 2 was enough. The fish used a different battered. It's think and crispy. However, I ordered the steak which I should have ordered the thin sliced one. The fish steak has bones. Chicken wing. Loved it. Excellent battered, good taste. Juicy too. My experience was a 3 stars, I've stomach issue afterward and I ate fried food all the time. And the French fries was soggy. Not cool. But I was so full I couldn't eat the fries anyway.

This was my first visit to Big Jay's. The lot and lobby area were clean which is my first observation everywhere I go. The prices are reasonable and my food was cooked to order in such a timely manner. I got a lunch combo of 2 Whiting filets with fries and a soda of my choice was included. I also took advantage of the Tuesday special .99 jumbo shrimp. Pickles, onions, bread, hot sauce, ketchup, and tartar! CHECK OUT MY PICTURES!

I had a delicious catfish lunch combo that really hit the spot. On a whim, I decided to add a three-piece chicken wing, and they were fantastic—crispy on the outside and incredibly tender on the inside. The sweet and spicy sauce complemented them wonderfully. Plus, the woman selling pickles in the lobby was incredibly friendly, and her pickles and sweet potato pies were simply amazing! Réservez une table maintenant

This place is a must try eatery. My wife got the chicken Po Boy and I got the fish Po Boy with a side of onion rings. We'll be back to try more of the menu. We both were very pleased with Big Jay's Chicken And Shrimp. They have fast courteous staff/service.

The food here is still great! You can't go wrong with any item on the menu. The whole experience is wonderful, especially the natural shrimp, which I highly recommend. Prices are reasonable too. You should definitely give it a try if you haven't already!

Big Jay's provided a great experience in both food and service. You can't go wrong when everything is prepared while you wait. Everything was hot and delicious. The staff actually smiled first and asked how my day was. I highly recommend Big Jay's

Tripe sandwiches are okay, but I get small portions every time I buy something. Today I had the combo and it wasn't much trip on the bread and maybe a handful of fries for 10 dollars.. Still hungry. So I only go 1-2 times a year Réservez une table maintenant

Food still good you can't go wrong whole menu good tripe great of course shrimp good prices reasonably highly recommend you try if you haven't
