Bigelow's New England Fried Clams

Family owned for 85 years. There is no place better for Ipswich Belly Clams; fried to perfection. Start with a bowl of soup (I get New England and Manhattan mixed it's amazing and finish with a slice of pie. The new outdoor patio has transformed Bigelow's into a must stop location on a nice spring/summer/fall evening (and it's enclosed and heated for the winter.

This is simply the best fish fry I have ever eaten at. I'm a chef and a fisherman. I've been eating fried fish for 50 years....hands down the best I've had anywhere. Sit down or take out...cool atmosphere.....super friendly staff as well. My favorites are the clams the cod and the scallops. Seafood bisque is amazing as well. Run don't walk to Bigelows

Food tasted great, service was quick, everything was awesome until 3 out of the 4 of us had the worst food poisoning of our lives. The New England clam chowder was the only thing we ate in common that day and my husband didn’t eat it and didn’t get sick. I’m really disappointed because I did enjoy my experience but now I can never go back.

I have been coming to this Wonderful Bigelow Family Owned Seafood Restaurant since I was a Child. The Food is Always Fresh, Prepared to Order and is the Highest Quality for a Fair Price. Best fried clams I've ever had! And the people who work there are so friendly and helpful! I was unsure whether I wanted the whole fried clams or the strips, and they gave me a sample of each. The seafood bisque is also very tasty.

Heard about this place for years, lived up to its reputation. Clams were insanely delicious and fresh. The staff was incredibly friendly, sad I have not gone sooner but it's worth the wait.

The grilled salmon was to perfection. The seafood bisque was ideal and the fish and chips was enjoyed by harsh critics with words of approval.
