We made a reservation for Breakfast on a recent stay in York and were very pleased with our visit. I always enjoy the decor of a Bill 's, with its quirky yet homely flourishes. The staff were welcoming and immediately attentive. The food arrived promptly, was presented beautifully and tasted even better. They cater well to vegans and veggies alike with their 'plant plate ' fry up along with other options. This restaurant is a great option for a meal while you're out shopping. It was quite crowded, but fortunately, we were able to find a table quickly. The food was delicious and well-prepared. However, now that they only accept payment through an app or card, some customers may find that inconvenient. Although we were served our food promptly, no one returned to check on us or ask if we wanted more drinks, which we did.
Opens at 8am on a Saturday, which we needed. Lots of tables that started filling by 9:30am. Diverse menu. Eggs Benedict was great. Pancakes were a little stodgy. Full breakfasts looked humongous. Paying by QR code from the table was a nice innovation and meant no delay when we wanted to leave.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised when Jack and his staff generously donated the cost of our meal to Parkinson's research. It's heartwarming to see people being so kind.

Really cool place but unable to delivery the right food cooked properly without issues. Cold and slightly raw poached egg, missing sausage and curly hair in fresh mint tea. Disappointing.
I went for the Bourbon burger with brisket on top, and it was one of the nicest ones I have had in a long time! The staff were lovely and attentive.
My husband enjoyed his eggs benedict, but my vegetarian breakfast was terrible. It was smothered in a strange, watery marmalade.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. We walked in without any expectations.
