Billy Barooz Pub Grill

Listen to me: Sweet potato fries and tartaric acid sauce. Billy Barooz has fries the best sweet potatoes because they are delicious, but also because they are crumbs. More surface for frying is simply better. But then I dived her into the tartar sauce... Game changer! This photo is the remaining panko-created cod sandwich that was FANTASTIC. It was a real piece of fish, no mish mash of fish mush like a fishstock. The veggie spices were even good with ripe tomatoes and Bougie Pickle sandwich slices which I am pretty sure are Claussen kosher Dill slices. Our server, Rae, was super nice and remembers my mom from previous visits and their usual order. I definitely recommend BB.

Everything here is solid. I think the chopped burger is up there for the best burger in town. The regular burgers are good, but the chopped steakburger is great! You have a lot of cheese options for the burgers (the ghost pepper cheese if you want a little kick). They have excellent frits (lightly baked/ seasoned) and sweet potatoes. Service is usually fast. You can definitely get in and out for lunch. Do not worry about a U of I game night coming because it is packed and you do not even fit into the door.

Really good food and very accommodating! They let us sit on the patio with our pups and brought us a bowl of water. Service was great and timely. I had fish tacos and they were spicy! Delicious. Tbe fries especially were amazing.

Best Burger SPOT in town I know they have more than Burger and so far they have not disappointed us. Great food, drinks and a wonderful family atmosphere. So a fantastic and friendly staff and GREAT COOKS!

We had about 12 of us for lunch. They were very accommodating when booking and set up the table. The food was fantastic, and the menu had many ways to meet all the needs
