Since it was getting close to dinner time, we decided to share some appetizers, keeping in mind that we older folks can't eat like we used to! We tried the spinach and artichoke dip, wings, chicken nachos, and burrata cheese with garlic toast. Let me just say, it was quite the experience—though not a pleasant one.

First of all.. the taste of the food was great .. the prime rib was too tough to chew .. I arrived at 10:30 and the buffet had more lunch dinner items than breakfast... the event ad made it seem like mimosa's and ****** Mary's were included in the cost .. after all it was $50 a person.. many other people thought that also... it was not and the charge was pretty high..... the service was amazing .. honest review..
We went there for the Easter buffet and were very disappointed. Food was very average at best.. overcooked prime rib and all meats were very dry. They even added on a 21% tip and didn't inform us that was the policy for Easter. We found out ourselves. Pretty disappointed with this as we traveled in from Denver and we can't recommend.

We ate at this restaurant for two nights! Kari our waitress was incredible, she was warm, friendly, informative, and made great suggestions. They did not have exactly what I wanted but Kari made it happen. The food was delicious and I plan to go back and I will look for Kari to be our waitress! A great experience.
Chloe was an amazing server and has such a bubbly personality. The restaurant wasn't noisy and food was decent. It was the perfect way to wrap up our stay at The Oread. My group had the Brioche French toast, an omelet, and biscuits and gravy which we'd all order again.
I ordered the fried cod sandwich, which came with a really large portion of light and flaky cod, accompanied by a generous serving of beer-battered fries. I also tried the crème brûlée cheesecake, which I highly recommend!
Chicken tenders looked and tasted like straight out of a bag of Sams frozen. Dry, thick, tasteless breading... left most on the plate. Good fries and ok street tacos.

It was after a big KU win so obviously it was busy. Seated quickly. Wait staff was very friendly, food served quickly and it was AWESOME!
We ate there for the thanksgiving buffet. There were 8 in our group. Everything was great!
