Whenever I visit my family in the South Gate area, I always make sure to stop by this iconic Birrieria Jalisco to indulge in a delicious dish of chivo birria. The flavor, texture, and delicious salsa paired with warm, handmade tortillas never disappoint. You can also enjoy their tasty fresh aguas frescas for a truly refreshing Mexican experience, or opt for a cold beer if you prefer. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area craving authentic Mexican cuisine.
The ceviche tostadas were good and they were pretty large for the price. The cocktail was not impressive at all, no flavor in the shrimp or the juice. Our total for 3 tostadas, one shrimp and octopus cocktail, and one coke was almost $40 but other mariscos places are more expensive so I guess it wasn't that bad. Next time we will only be getting the tostadas though
Great birria ribs. The agua de jamaica was a bit bitter eventhough it was full of sugar. Waitress accidentally over charged us. Charged 7 rib plates instead of 4. Glad we caught it before paying. She apologized. Traveled from Downey to Lynwood for these ribs and they did not disappoint. They were delicious, worth the traffic.
We dined at this restaurant on two separate occasions. Although the portion sizes are smaller compared to the other birria restaurant in town, the goat meat is cooked to perfection here. The ambiance is also slightly upscale. Despite this, the prices remain reasonable. The broth served here is exceptionally delicious. Réservez une table maintenant
