We were impressed by the location, the newly renovated rooms but dinner was a real “fiasco”! Tomato soup that tasted like pasta sauce or for a bruschetta, served barely lukewarm. Same temperature for the goulash soup. We sent them all back to be warmed up....We ordered then the “special of the day”: veal shank...served already off the bone...which means it was cut it way before serving and then badly warmed up microwaved and served ... lukewarm with a side of mashed potatoes dry and cold and spatzle nothing good either We sent the veal back as it was really unacceptable and ordered the classic Wiener schnitzel, which was nothing special either, not thin as it should be. From the cozy beer garden you can see one of the impressive towers of the old cathedral. Now, which is better: Sitting in church thinking of the pub or sitting in the pub thinking of the church...? Anyway, the beer is excellent 1 liter...works even better than half the size the veal steak is cooked to perfection the Apfel Strudl does its job and the Russian waiter has a subtle sense of humour. Everything was perfect this evening except for the grill plate Grillpfandl which was dull, indifferent and only meant for tourists. Come on, guys, where is the German touch? Schweinhaxe, Sauerkraut und so weiter I couldn’t find it on the menu, and the Grillpfandl didn’t do the job.

Simply the best. My wife and I have been coming here for the past 18 years. The hotel and restaurant staff are the best. This hotel is situated as close to city center as you can get. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and...has the best wiener schnitzel. If you want a hotel with rich history then stay here. Tell Antonio the front desk manager we said hello.
charming old traditional dining room there is also an attractive garden in the open, which extends up to the neighboring regensburger kathedrale. we enjoyed our trout with petersilienkartoffeln, lamb with bratwurst, mixed salat and apfelstrudel. with beer, apple juice and mineral water the bill came for three to €84.50.
This restaurant has a big and beautiful garden. We came in around 21.00 and ordered snitzel which was very good. They also have a good selection of beers and wines. We had a lovely evening in this beautiful garden and service was also very good....Totally recommend this restaurant.
we checked into the hotel. room okay. the color is the restaurant. we booked at the reception, arrived and there was only one table for us outside in the rain. super bad and unprofessional service. they are lost and super bad. don't go there. skins
