The food here is wonderful. Well cooked food with great flavours. The ambience is perfect and the smell of amazing food hits you when you walk through the door. The service was brilliant. Very friendly but not overly so with very prompt service. I had the peri-peri wings to start and they are lovely. Good sized wings and just spicy enough. I had a king prawn main which was also delicious. My friend had the mutton curry which was incredible and I have since had as a take away from them. I ordered this evening for the first time on delivery. Crazy to think that this place is local but I’ve not ordered before. I ordered cabbage, rice and peas, chickpea and potato curry dumplings. The order was delivered quickly by a friendly smiling face and the food was plentiful. I thought I’d split the order into two portions and have the rest another day. Well that idea went out of the window as I went back and finished the lot. The dumplings!! I could literally eat a bag full. Will definitely be back. Please make a vegan dessert. I’ve got a real sweet tooth and the menu would be perfect with a sweet addition.
Given this place too many chances, everytime we order something is wrong, the dumplings are always rock solid and today they were black and hard like coal, the mac n cheese is literally just pasta and cheese on top, there's no sauce on it, I like spicy food but it's all overly spicy to the point where its inedible, you don't even sell akee and saltfish anymore, what happened? Did you get a new chef? I've ordered for years it used to be good but it's horrible now, I refuse to wast anymore money here
We ordered takeaway from Bishops as we needed a treat and we definitely got one! It arrived half an hour earlier than expected which was great as we were all hungry. The driver used safe distancing guidelines but waited until I opened the door and told us to enjoy the food. We really did enjoy it! Food was delicious and hot! That was the first time we had ordered from here but definitely won’t be the last! Hopefully will be able to eat in soon!

I've been eating at Bishop's House Bistro for years now, Shaun has catered my birthday and many a mutton curry on the weekend. I noticed they were offering a full Sunday roast chicken with rice, roast potatoes, cabbage, coleslaw, salad and an amazing jerk gravy. You can't argue with a fully fed family of five (I had a third helping) for just £20. I think that this is a Sheffield diamond. I love it to pieces.
Picked up a takeaway Saturday evening. Had the chicken and mutton sharer. We haven’t been here for ages as is a bit out of our way but food is still as good as ever. The mutton curry is my favourite. The menu seems to have increased in size, and the shop is just a takeaway bar now and not a sit down restaurant. But food is still very tasty and worthy of a visit if you like something a bit different.
Called and collected food for ages had a couple of deliveries sound,tipped the driver a 10 spot each time cus it 's just abit far ,but your happy to take order cus it 's hard times,now its picked up we dont deliver to you ,poor very poor hope theres not another lockdown were small buisness need a helping hand , she says you usually collect dont you then no your not getting a delivery
Just received our takeaway, it was a meal deal for 20 quid, so much nice food, the mutton curry was amazing tender meat nice heat, the jerk chicken fell off the bone, got rice, cabbage n dumplings too, and the most delicious brownie to finish off. Would defo recommend this place, surprised it took me this long to find it. Thanks Bishop bistro.

Had delivery last night arrived in time. Mutton curry was lovely and the meat very tender also had jerk chicken rice and peas with dumplings all very tasty. Will definitely be back soon
Just had chicken wings jerk style and slow braised oxtail stew followed by mango cheese cake and it was all 10 of 10 and will definitely being going back again many times.
