After the death of Bismarck, on 30. July 1898, 2 Pyrmonters, the forest master Dr. Hartwig and the newspaper publisher Gustav Bermann and the 3 Oesdorf Mayor Frese, the teacher Knüppel and Mr Baumbach decided to build a view tower of Bismarck. He should stand on the Königsberg and be a relief painting by Otto von Bismarck. Citizenship has quickly agreed. There was a committee to set up the tower that took care of the necessary funds by donations.
