Bismarckturm Kneipe

After the death of Bismarck, on 30. July 1898, 2 Pyrmonters, the forest master Dr. Hartwig and the newspaper publisher Gustav Bermann and the 3 Oesdorf Mayor Frese, the teacher Knüppel and Mr Baumbach decided to build a view tower of Bismarck. He should stand on the Königsberg and be a relief painting by Otto von Bismarck. Citizenship has quickly agreed. There was a committee to set up the tower that took care of the necessary funds by donations. The building site on the south side was provided by the Princely Chamber of the Principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont. At first there was a design for the 31m high Bismarckturm.
