We had a very satisfying meal at this funky little place that serves up tasty Senegalese cuisine. Low key and decorated in colorful Western African colors, the menu has a diverse selection of appetizers and entrees featuring richly spiced (but not spicy) flavors, inc. curry, coconut, plantains, peanuts, rice, couscous with meat (chicken, lamb, prawns, fish) and veggie options. Friendly and attentive service. A real neighborhood gem.
This was a pop up event with a special chef who is not usually there so I can 't speak for the usual menu. We did feel cheated because we paid a reservation fee and were shoved to the place next door the one that will remain open) in a small dark corner, service was chaotic I never got the drink I ordered) and the portions were ridiculously small for the price. The little we ate was good but the whole experience was a fail !
There was live music and people that I'm sure as a result we're staying at their tables longer than expected. The owner of the restaurant brought out a table and chairs for us so that we could sit inside and listen to the music. Overall just a phenomenal venue owned by wonderful people and operated by a lovely staff. I will be going back here again… This is a gem of a restaurant
let's be real: the food was mediocre. I've heard it was better before the pandemic but come on, you gotta do better than what was served to us. we went somewhere else after to eat food that was appropriate for the price point. Réservez une table maintenant
The restaurant was closed even though their website indicated they were open. We tried calling ahead but no one answered and the mailbox was full so we couldn't leave a message. It was a terrible experience.
Sad to see that they have had to move into a smaller space as the original restaurant was so much more interesting. But the food is still excellent, the service fantastic, and can't beat the value!
We really enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is fun and lively without being too loud. Great music and great food and great people!!
Staff was very attentive. Helped me with menu items. Everyone was smiling, this made me feel really good about the working environment at Little Baobab. Réservez une table maintenant
Food is great and the space is unique, I don’t think this place is for everybody but it’s certainly a experience. Reservations probably not needed
