We arrived at this beautifully decorated restaurant with a member of our party in a wheelchair. We made the mistake of not informing the restaurant of this and were worried that we would not be able to dine there as there are a number of steps to get to the different dining levels. Thankfully we were met by Alberto as we arrived and he swang into action to ensure that our evening was not spoilt by our own mistake. Alberto ensured that a wheelchair ramp was put in place to access the lounge area of the courtyard and that we were made comfortable in a lovely, loungey setting which was perfect for us. This restaurant was recommended by a regular visitor to Santa Maria. My daughter and I arrived without a reservation at 3.30pm on a busy Sunday afternoon. They kindly found us a lovely table outside. The garden was full of family groups, couples and friends. The staff were extremely busy but looked after their customers with care and professionalism. They created a warm, friendly and very relaxing atmosphere. The smell of the jasmine tree above us added to the beautiful experience. We shared 3 absolutely delicious dishes. All in all it was heavenly few hours and we can’t wait to visit again.
After visiting the shop and having a nice lunch in the garden we asked to call us a taxi to get to the hotel. The only response was that they couldn‘t reach a taxi and we should try it ourselves… After 3 4 calls we had a taxi and left with unsatisfied feeling and will never return because there are so many better restaurants (incl. customer service)
