My partner and I were excited to try Luke Benchmark, a French bistro in Sylvania. As French food enthusiasts, we were looking forward to a delicious meal to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. The two servers appeared inexperienced and seemed out of their element. The French dishes on the menu were mispronounced, our side dishes never made it to the kitchen, and our coffee was served before our desserts. To make matters worse, our appetizers arrived late and our wine was poured before we had even finished our aperitifs. My wife and I visited last night and were pleasantly surprised to discover this new restaurant in Sylvania. We indulged in a 3-course meal and were impressed with the flavors of the Lobster and Cheese Souffle and Chicken Pate. The steak was cooked to perfection, however, the Chicken Coq au Vin could have been presented with less on the plate. The chicken and garlic mash were delicious though. The desserts were also very enjoyable, especially the Peach Tart Tatin. The wine list could use some improvement, specifically adding some Hunter Chardonnays and Shiraz. Our servers Rachael and Brad provided excellent service and made our dining experience memorable.
Had really wanted to try here for a while and so glad we did. The menu was varied and tempting with something for everyone. Each course was beautiful with excellent fresh ingredients that complimented each other. Nothing was left on our plates! It was midweek and very quiet which was a shame as they certainly deserve more custom for the quality food. Service was great.As expected the prices were on the higher side but were fair for the wonderful food that we received. I hope they continue to succeed and we will certainly be back.
We went to this restaurant in the first few weeks of opening. They have some service kinks to iron out. The service was quite bad. The waitresses were very very pleasant but did not seem to know what they were doing. The food was nice...but not anything to rave about. You can't BYO Thursday, Friday or Saturday and there really wasn't any wine that I liked, so I guess that will keep us away. I think the décor is supposed to be French, but it is mostly just bright white. We will try again in a few months to see if it has improved.

I wanted to try one of them here and so glad we did. the menu was diverse and seductive with something for everyone. each curs was beautiful with excellent fresh ingredients that composed each other. nothing was left on our tellers! it was the mid-wife and very quiet that was a scandal, as it certainly deserves more use for the quality of food. service was great. as expected were the prices on the higher side, but were fair for the wonderful food we received. I hope they will continue to succeed and we will be back safely.
The restaurant has a beautiful decor, but it is a bit loud and lacks soft furnishings. Unfortunately, they had run out of scampi by 7 o'clock on a Friday evening. The waitress was friendly, but seemed new. We selected a wine and were served duck in a bowl, which made it difficult to eat. The filet was cooked perfectly, but was placed on top of colorful vegetables and we asked for jus instead of mushroom sauce, but ended up with an oily slick. Overall, we were not satisfied and do not plan on returning.
The decor is lovely and a bit noisy as no soft furnishings. There was No scampi left on a Friday night at 7pm. Waitress was lovely but I think she was new. Ran out wine we chose and served the duck in a bowl which makes it hard to eat. Fillet was perfectly cooked but placed on top off the beautiful colourful vegetables and asked for a jus instead of the mushroom sauce but ended up with an oily slick. We won't rush back.

We went with a party of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. Looking forward to going back again soon. Mid week special 3 courses and a glass of wine for $52.
