Bistro De Montcaud

This restaurant is a wonderful discovery and because we live nearby we have lunched here twice this month! First impressions are of a handsome chateau with outbuildings that contain the restaurant, all beautifully restored and stylishly equipped. The Bistro interior is spacious, comfortable and light, with large windows looking out to the terrace and parkland. Our welcome and service was excellent. The menu offers a very good, limited variety of dishes with, this month, truffles much in evidence. Everything we chose was superbly cooked and presented; altogether totally delicious. maison pro, service charmant et efficace. oeuf parfait et poulpe dans des entrées très réussies. Lotte, chorizo, asperges font un plat vraiment agréable avec cependant l'émulation trop proche de celui de l'oeuf servi dans l'entrée. Délicieux dessert avec tatin et glace. Seulement deux rosés à la carte, c'est l'été. Même si ce sont deux très belles maisons!

Nous sommes arrivés par hasard dans ce restaurant... quel bonheur ! L'emplacement est exceptionnel : un magnifique château avec un grand jardin. Nous avons pris le menu du dimanche du chef (6 plats)... quel délice ! La nourriture était superbe, le personnel était très professionnel et sympathique. Nous avons passé une merveilleuse soirée !

Nous y avons mangé en amour un vendredi soir, la réception et le service étaient très agréables; la carte envient vraiment et les menus choisis étaient divins. De plus, l'endroit est magnifique. bref nous recommandons et retour avec plaisir

Gaspacho so and so, tartare very good, wine ok. Service can be improved. I will give it another try next year.
